Constantly on tour and working on exciting projects, Grammy Nominated artist and reality-TV star, Syleena Johnson who is set to release her book, “The Weight is Over”, will show music lovers why she is one sixth of the Daughters of Soul.  In a momentous nod to the festival’s inaugural roots, several artists will be returning for this year’s event.  The tirelessly touring Grammy Nominated & Billboard charting, Eric Roberson, our phenomenal Erro, is a returning artist to the Fest who will once again captivate his peers and music lovers. Grammy and NAACP Image Award nominated, Anthony David -  one of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama’s favorite artists and another festival returnee - will no doubt, sing some of the songs that the First Lady has on her iPod.

The beloved Grammy-nominated duo, Kindred the Family Soul will show 2016 attendees why they are also returning artists to the festival. This duo is the chosen to close out the second night as the headliner. Fondly known as the First Couple of Soul to some, they are sure to take attendees on a musical journey with songs from their 2003 debut album, Surrender to Love which peaked at #159 on the Billboard 200 and #29 on the Billboard R&B chart through delights on their critically successful 2014-released album, A Couple Friends.
Myron Ruffin, show broker and co-producer of the Fest is excited to welcome Grammy Nominated and Billboard charting, Angie Stone as she celebrates an impressive 37-year musical career.  With her seventh studio album, Dream, debuting at No. 59 on Billboard 200 and No. 3 at Top Hip-Hop/R&B Albums chart, in November, Stone will show attendees why she remains “in-demand as one of the most revered and recognizable voices of Neo Soul.” (SoulTracks)

Comedian Gerald Kelly Gives the Gift of Laughter and So Much More...

Many know actor, comedian Gerald Kelly for various reasons, but the one that he holds the highest acclaim for is being a stand-up comic with the gift to help people through their life's challenges. The gift that he has isn't just to make people laugh, but to make them cry; cry tears of joy, releasing frustrations of hurt, pain and sometimes defeat. He holds this to be the true purpose for his career as a comedian. If you haven’t heard of this comedic genius in the arena of Comedy, you haven’t heard from one of the greatest that ever did it. The joke about not being the homework parent, but trying to do his son’s homework for him is classic. His son ends up coming home crying about his grade that he received from that assignment, which was not one, but two zeros. When asked by his dad, why did get ‘two’ zeros, the boy explained, “One is for me and one is for you”… and that is just one joke of many that helped build a great career in Stand-Up Comedy.   Ger
