Are You Coming to the 90's Block Party?

Atlanta, get ready because the 90's Block Party is coming to the Fox Theatre!!!
It all goes down on this Friday, April 26, 2018, at 7:30pm.

Okay, so it's an all-male affair with the legendary R&B group Guy headlining the show. Other R&B groups set to perform include Next, and Dru Hill...and don't forget about solo crooner, Ginuwine!

Me and my girls will definitely be on deck and ready to travel back into time and rekindle the romantic interludes of  such songs as "Let's Chill" and "Piece of My Love", but also "Beauty", "We're Not Making Love", "Pony", "I Still Love You" and "Butta Love".

I am definitely looking forward to the Guy reunion! We've been practicing our old school moves and ready to rock to "Teddy's Jam", as they "Groove Me". "You Can Call Me Crazy", but "I Like", no I love, the New Jack Swing sound! Just make me one promise, that you guys can "Stay Together" long enough to bring our "Fantasy" to life?

Next is back! I remember when they first came out, I was trying to get "Too Close" and become that "Wifey" well, guys...Issa married now, so I'm over the whole wifey thing...I'm a wife and I love my life! However, I'm sure some of my girls are thinking these thoughts...I'm just expressing them.

I can't wait for Dru Hill to Unleash the Dragon. I do, however, have a few questions for them...Like, "Tell Me", "How Deep is Your Love" for the music, because "These are the Times" that we need to take "5 Steps" and reevaluate our love for such classics. And of course, Sisqo's "Thong Song" was inspirational for many that didn't even have a thought about panties being in the booties of beauties...IJS

Ginuwine, well, I know what he's capable of doing to this crowd of 90's seekers...but I'm "So Anxious" to see what he has in store (for the ladies). Another thought, (from one of my girls of course) might be about getting "In Those Jeans", but of course, I'll have to cool my girlfriends down and remind them that he's just the "Same Ol G". I am not trying to have "Differences" with my sistahs, so I'll just have to go with the flow on that.

The bottom line is... I can't wait for the 90's Block Party! I hope that you'll join us!

You can get your tickets (if you haven't already), here.

If you've never had the love experience, Conya Doss gives you seven reasons to step out on faith and try something new. 'VII' is the title of another classic in the making. Photo Credit: Stephen Midgette The Queen of Indie Soul has returned and she's not holding anything back with this newest collection of honey suckle soul music. From the introductory track, "Gone" and the follow up of "Fragments"; both infused with funky rhythms (which include the hi hat, snare and guitar,) the electric feeling that these tracks give off, leaves you wanting, hoping and needing to fall hard for the one you're with. Tracks like "You Got Me" is reminscant of memorable Ms. Doss classics as her tru

Serving Jeff Bradshaw À la carte...Bone Appétit!

World Renown, Trombonist, Jeff Bradshaw is back with his second release titled, Bone Appétit For those who don't know Jeff Bradshaw and if you haven't heard this jazz musician do his thing, you have been living under a rock for the last 10 years or so....and you definitely need a dose of what real smooth, unadulterated jazz music sounds, feels and tastes like. This soulful musician has made the trombone the instrument of choice and has laid down some beautiful sounds that this world  has experienced in a very long time. So, it is my pleasure to present to some and introduce to others, Mr. Trombone himself,  Jeff Bradshaw!!! This North Philly dude got his start with Jill Scott (Hidden Beach Recordings) and has collaborated with such artists as N'Dambi (Total Eclipse Magazine's premier cover Indie Soul artist), Glenn Lewis and Darrius Rucker. He recalls when he got his first break. "In 1994, I began to meet the who’s-who of what is now the hiera

Comedian Gerald Kelly Gives the Gift of Laughter and So Much More...

Many know actor, comedian Gerald Kelly for various reasons, but the one that he holds the highest acclaim for is being a stand-up comic with the gift to help people through their life's challenges. The gift that he has isn't just to make people laugh, but to make them cry; cry tears of joy, releasing frustrations of hurt, pain and sometimes defeat. He holds this to be the true purpose for his career as a comedian. If you haven’t heard of this comedic genius in the arena of Comedy, you haven’t heard from one of the greatest that ever did it. The joke about not being the homework parent, but trying to do his son’s homework for him is classic. His son ends up coming home crying about his grade that he received from that assignment, which was not one, but two zeros. When asked by his dad, why did get ‘two’ zeros, the boy explained, “One is for me and one is for you”… and that is just one joke of many that helped build a great career in Stand-Up Comedy.   Ger
