As a true Indie Soul Head , I was influenced by such artists like Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Eric Roberson, Foreign Exchange, Lalah Hathaway, Wes Felton, and Raheem Devaughn! Their songs were the soundtrack to my journey as a music journalist. Their words inspired the love that lies deep down in the belly of my soul and their songs ignited the passion to write about their musical interludes of life: love, pain, passion, and sex.
